How to reset the Volkswagen Lupo OIL Service indicator step by step, made in the year 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005.
The steps to turn off this maintenance indicator light are very easy.
Enter in the driver seat, and close the door.
Put the key into the ignition, don’t turn it.
On the right “clock” speedometer down you must have a button, see below picture, we will call it button 1.
Push and hold “Button 1”.
Turn the key in the ignition until the led from the dashboard will light up, don’t start the engine.
Keep Button 1 depressed until this indicator appears on the display “- – – -“.
Release Button 1.
Switch ignition OFF.
The above procedure you must do after you change the engine oil for your VW Lupo, and it works for all models no matter what engine is on the car.

- 1.0 l petrol with 37kw or 50 hp engine oil capacity with filter is 3,2 liters and you can use 5w30 or 5w40.
- 1.2 diesel with 45 kW or 61 hp engine oil capacity with filter is 3,8 liters and you can use 0w30 or 5w30.
- 1.4 l petrol with 44 kW or 60 hp engine oil capacity with filter is 3,2 liters and you can use 5w30 or 5w40.
- 1.4 l 16V petrol with 55 kW or 75 hp engine oil capacity with filter is 3,2 liters and you can use 5w30 or 5w40.
- 1.4 l 16Vpetrol with 74 kW or 100 hp engine oil capacity with filter is 3,2 liters and you can use 5w30 or 5w40.
- 1.4 l FSI petrol with 77 kW or 105 hp engine oil capacity with filter is 3,2 liters and you can use 5w30 or 5w40.
- 1.4D TDi PD diesel with 55 kW or 75 hp engine oil capacity with filter is 3,8 liters and you can use 5w30 or 5w40 or 10w40.
- 1.6 16V petrol with 92 kW or 125 hp engine oil capacity with filter is 3,2 liters and you can use 5w30.
- 1.7 D SDi diesel with 44 kW or 60 hp engine oil capacity with filter change is 4,7 liters 5w30 or 5w40.
