- Within 4 seconds press button (1) left of speedometer twice. Picture below.

- The present status for days or distance displays once more.
- Continue to hold button (1) for approximately 10 seconds until a signal sounds and the display shows 10 000 mils or 15 000km.
- Release button (1).

Hello, if you have the check engine light on at you Mercedes Benz SLK 230 from year 2001 after you change the battery, it’s not a big cause for concern. Drive the Mercedes SLK for a while and the check engine light will go out on its own.
I found on the wiki a method how to reset check engine light on your MErcedes SLK230, switch the key in ignition on position 2, turn steering wheel full left then full right and back to centre and warning lights will be reset. This works only after you changing the battery. If the error is on for other reasons (contaminant problems, spark plugs, and so on) you most go on a auto service to check the vechicle.

anyone have a problem with abs and esp light staying on. battery,brakes and alternator all ok.
What we can say is that the lights on the dashboard of the car which are yellow you can steel drive your car. If the light are RED do not even start the engine.
Any body know why my Mercedes Benz slk 230 2001 the fan of blow air is on all the time even with the key off the air is coming non stop I have to remove the fuse or never stop the air coming out please any body help me please I got another switch and is doing the same thing please help thanks
