Diagnostic Reset Tool Required (please refer to TOOLS page) Manual Reset.

  1. Turn key in steering lock to position 2.
  2. Within 4 seconds press 0 button twice. The present status for days or distance displays, within 10 seconds turn the electroninc key in steering lock to position 0. Picture below.
  3. Reset oil service light Mercedes E200 1997-2000.
  4. Press and hold 0 button while turning electronic key in steering loack to position 2 again.
  5. The present status for days or distance displays once more.
  6. Continue to hold 0 button for approximately 10 seconds until a signal sounds and the display shows 10 000 (15000KM) for approximately 10 seconds. Release 0 button, the status is reset.

  2. I have an E200 Merc 2002 model. The engine lights started to come on and taken to three workshop and they could not identify the reason for the same. The error code on scanning is 1) Secondary Air Injection Malfunction ( P2036-001) and 2 ) Airflow is too low (PO410). Caqn anyone help or advise me what is to be done. I have spent quite a bit of money and time taking it to different workshops without any achievements

    1. Hello George, may be caused by: water may have collected in the AIR pump or the vent solenoid and frozen or corroded the pump or blown AIR pump fuse due to freezing up. The engine light on your Mercedes E200 will stop automatically after the problem was solved. The car has other symptoms ?

      1. Thank you very much for the reply. No other complaints other than the one specified.The car runs very fine and has no issues other than the engine lights ON all the time.

        Sorry for the trouble. I have no idea about vehicles but could you explain where these are located ( Air pump, vent solenoid, pump airpump fuse) in an E200K 2002 model. I want to see if I could do it myself as there is no time for me to spend in the workshop. If you have some pictures of the same I would really appreciate.

          If you do not have knowledge of mechanics do not attempt to repair the vechicle by yourself.
          Can I advise you to keep your car in a garage where temperature is more than 1 celsius degree.

          I have the same problem on my car during this period (winter) the engine light on my car, one day stay lit two days stay off.

  3. I cannot get my central locking working , the central locking lights flash but no lock any ideas thanks.
