The gas pedal trick does not work on my 2003 l200. On mine there is a button in the underhood power distribution box labeled oil, key on engine off hold down the button for about 10 seconds return to the dashboard the light should be blinking at this point you can either kill the key and go home or start the car and see that the light does in fact shut off after a few moments.
