Change Engine Oil Light Pontiac G3. The vehicle may have an engine oil life system that indicates when the oil needs to be changed. When the change engine oil light comes on, it means that the engine oil needs to be changed. Once the engine oil has been changed, the engine oil life system must be reset. Required services are described in the following for “Maintenance I” and “Maintenance II.” Generally, it is recommended that the first service be Maintenance I, the second service be Maintenance II, and then alternate Maintenance I and Maintenance II thereafter. However, in some cases, Maintenance II may be required more often.
