How do you reset oil service light Ford Flex. From year 2008, 2009.
To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change Ford Flex 2008, 2009 (approximately 7,500 miles [12,000 km] or six months) perform the following.
- Turn the ignition to run, one position before starting engine.
- Press the SETUP control to enter SYSTEM CHECK, then press SETUP control again to display “OIL LIFE = XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW”.
- Press and hold the RESET control for two seconds and release. Oil life is set to 100% and “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%” is displayed.
- While “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%” is displayed, if a lower oil life is desired, press and release the RESET control to reduce the value. Each press of the RESET control reduces the value by 10 percent.
Note: Oil life of 100% equals 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or six months. For example, setting oil life to 60% sets the oil life value to 4,500 miles (7,200 km) and 108 days.
OIL LIFE CHANGE SOON – Displayed when the engine oil life remaining is 10% or less. When oil life left is between 10% and 0%, the XX% OIL LIFE CHANGE SOON message will be displayed.
OIL CHANGE REQUIRED – Displayed when the oil life left reaches 0%, the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message will be displayed.

How to reset oil service light Ford Flex. From year: 2010, 2011, 2012.
To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change Ford Flex 2010, 2011, 2012 (approximately 7,500 miles [12,000 km] or 12 months) perform the following.
- Press and release SETUP to display “OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW”.
- Press and hold RESET for two seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.
- Note: To change oil life 100% miles value from 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or 12 months to another value, proceed to Step 4.
- Once “OIL LIFE SET TO XXX%” is displayed, release and press RESET to change the Oil Life Start Value. Each release and press will reduce the value by 10%.
- Note: Oil life start value of 100% equals 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or 12 months. For example, setting oil life start value to 60% sets the oil life start value to 4,500 miles (7,200 km) and 219 days.

- Turn ignition on without starting the engine (if the car has engine start button press it 2 times). Below picture.
.- Now on the Ford Flex dashboard is displayed the message change engine oil soon. Picture below.
.- Press the ok button which is situated on the steering wheel. Picture below.
.- After that press the left arrow.
- Scroll down to settings and press ok button. Below picture.
- Then press ok on “vehicle”. Picture below.
.- Now on Ford Flex dashboard will appear Oil Life Reset, press ok.
.- After Oil Life Reset the Ford Flex display will show you set to 100%, set to 90%, set to 80% and so on.
.- Set to 100% to end the procedure press ok button and hold down the button for about 3 seconds, when you finish the message Oil Life Set to 100% will appear on monitor.
OIL LIFE CHANGE SOON – Displayed when the engine oil life remaining is 10% or less.
OIL CHANGE REQUIRED – Displayed when the oil life left reaches 0%.
