Locating the diagnostic connector.

1. Let’s go on with the search. The diagnostic connector (the black cylinder in the figure). Is located in the engine compartment, near the brake fluid box.

3. You have to remove the cap on top and you’ll see a 20 pin connector like this.
4. Our interest is to use the pins 7 and 19 (red marked in the figure), necessary to reset oil service light BMW E36.

3. Then place a jumper wire (refer to the end of this file) between the pins 7 and 19.
