- Reset the coloured indicator by inserting the key in the slot below the indicator.

- Turn the key to off position.
- Press and hold the SELECT and RESET buttons on the instrument panel. Turn the ignition to position (II) do not start engine.
- Hold the SELECT and RESET buttons until the indicator resets, 10 seconds.
- Turn ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

- Press the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel repeatedly until engine oil life is displayed.
- Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for more than 10 seconds. The remaining engine oil life reset mode will be shown on the multi information display.
- Select RESET by pressing the INFO button, then press the SEL/RESET button to reset the engine oil life display. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.
- Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
- Models equipped with the keyless access system have an engine start/stop button instead of an ignition switch. Pushing start/stop button once without starting engine is equivalent of ignition (II).

2006 Acura TL M/T
Holding reset for 10 sec brings me back to the orange screen saying maintenance is xxxx miles overdue. I do not see the option to reset the maintenance minder. The maintenance is not overdue.
My mechanic does oil & filter every 3000 miles but forgets to reset the oil life. The other maintenance which needs to be reset is the tire rotation. (I did follow the maintenance minder on that, but it wasn’t soon enough and now I have one bald tire.)
How do I reset under these conditions?

Just reset the light on ’09 TL and you can in fact turn on the engine to perform this operation.
Well with my 2004 Acura TL..you don’t have to go to the oil display to reset(because that doesn’t work). What I did was hold the select/reset button down when the orange service screen is present. Hold down for 10 seconds and then and only then will it ask you to confirm the reset. Hope this helps people.

Reset/select buttons are not working and trying to erase trip mileage for A OR B trips cannot be erased either. How do I fix this problem? Thanks.

My 2006 TL won’t reset while oil life/trip odo is displayed (like the manual says). Hold reset for 10 seconds while the orange screen is displayed and it works.
