DIY, remove the front grille on your Nissan Altima made between the years 1993 and 1997. This is the kind of repair that you would probably do if you need to get better access to the headlight assemblies or if the grille is broken and you need to replace it. To do this replacement, you will need a flat blade screwdriver and about 15 minutes of your time.
In the beginning of the repair process, open the hood of the car and look behind the front grille for the five retaining tabs that hold it, marked with red arrows in the picture below.
These five tabs snap in on the five holes, openings, that exist on the car. So you can use a flat blade screwdriver and push down on the tabs in order to release them. If you need to take out the grille intact, they will require some work and time, because you do not want to brake them. They are the only thing that hold the front grille attached to your car. After you remove it and make the desired repairs, you can reinstall the grille, or a new one. Position it as shown in the next image and press it firmly until it is fixed. These are the simple steps you have to follow in order to remove, replace and reinstall the front grille on your Nissan Altima manufactured between 1993 and 1997.
