How to remove the front door panel on Toyota Corolla 1994-1997

DIY, remove and reinstall the front door panel on your Toyota Corolla, the model made between the years 1994 and 1997. The tools required for this repair are a flat blade screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver and a putty knife. The removal process, the repairs and the reinstall will probably take you more than an hour.

You can start by opening the front door and by prying out the small triangle trim panel near the side mirror. You can do it very easily, by hand. After that, you should point your attention towards the door handle, where you have to remove a Phillips screw. Then, pull out the door handle and disconnect the rod behind it.

Once you get rid of these plastics, use the tip of a flat blade screwdriver and pry out the arm rest pad, as you can see in the picture below. You will have to remove the two Phillips screws behind it , that secure the door panel.

The final step before removing the door panel is to take out the master window switch. You just have to pry it out and unplug the connector beneath it, as seen in the image below.

After you do it, use a putty knife to pry out the edges of the door panel. After you make some room between the panel and the door frame, insert your fingers and pull the panel out of its clips. Lift it up and remove it completely. Then make the repairs needed and reinstall the panel on the door, reversing the steps above. This is all you need to do, if you plan to remove and reinstall the front door panel on your Toyota Corolla, manufactured between 1994 and 1997.
