Do it yourself, change the right tail light on a Chrysler Town & Country made in the years 2001, 2002 and 2003. For this repair you will require a flat blade screwdriver. It will not take you longer than 10 minutes, because the process is very simple.
In the beginning, you need to open your trunk and look on the right side, near the tail light, after two plastic knobs (marked in the picture below). These pieces actually hold in place the tail light assembly. You can remove them using the flat blade screwdriver. You just have to pry out their middle and they will come out.
At this point you can basically detach the assembly by pulling it towards you. The piece will slip out if you move it slowly to the right, where it has a safety slot. You will notice now, that the tail light only holds in its harness. To remove it, first press the small red locking mechanism (shown in the next image) and then, using your thumb, press the black clamp. After you do it, you are done.
If you only need to service a light bulb, you have to press the two plastic tabs simultaneously (see picture below). Be careful not to touch the surface of the replacement light bulb. Put the bulb back into its socket and just press the plastic onto the tail light assembly. After you finish all the repairs, make sure you put everything back together as it should be. This is all you need to do, in order to change the tail light assembly on Chrysler Town & Country 2002.
