Do it yourself, change the right tail light assembly on a Kia Sorento manufactured in year 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. You can make this simple repair in just 10 minutes, using only a Phillips screwdriver.
The first thing you have to do is to open the back door of your car and look on the right side, near the tail light, after two Phillips screws (marked with red in the image below). These screws actually hold in place the tail light assembly. You can remove them very easily using the Phillips screwdriver.
Now you can basically remove the tail light assembly by pulling it towards you. The piece will get out if you move it to the right, where it has two safety pins. You will then notice, that the tail light only holds in its electrical harness (see picture below). After you disconnect it, you are done.
If you only need to change the tail light bulb, you will have to rotate its socket counterclockwise. Be careful not to touch the surface of the replacement light bulb. Put the bulb back into its socket and just rotate it clockwise. After you finish all the repairs, make sure you put everything back together as it should be, reversing the whole process. This is all you have to do, in order to change the right tail light assembly on a Kia Sorento made in the year 2012.
