DIY, replace the tail light assembly on your Dodge Plymouth Neon, manufactured between the years 2000 and 2005. You will need a 13 mm socket wrench and a flat headed screwdriver, to make this repair. The replacement process is fairly simple and will take you about 20 minutes.
First of all, you have to open the trunk of your car and go behind the tail light assembly you need to replace. There is a plastic pin that holds the insulation in the trunk and you must remove it first, as indicated in the next picture.
You can remove it using a flat headed screwdriver. After you do it, take the insulation aside and you will get access to the back of the tail light assembly. You will notice the three bolts shown in the next picture, that you must remove. You can do it using a 13 mm socket wrench.
If you just need to service the light bulbs, there is no need to remove those bolts. You can simply twist out the bulbs and replace them. After you finish all the repairs and you replace the tail light assembly, you can reinstall everything back in its place by reversing the whole process. This is all you need to do, if you need to change the tail light assembly on your Dodge Plymouth Neon, produced between the years 2000 and 2005.
