Do it yourself, change the tail light assembly on your Dodge Durango, the car model made between the years 1996 and 2003. This repair is very easy, and you can make it in less than 15 minutes, using only a Phillips screwdriver.
In the beginning of this replacement, you will have to open the back door of your car and locate the two screws shown in the picture below, that hold the tail light assembly.
So, you can remove those screws with a Phillips screwdriver and after you do it, you will be able to pull out the tail light assembly. Behind it you will come across its electrical connector, as you can see in the image below. Unplug it by hand and release the assembly completely.
At this point you can service the three light bulbs very easily, by twisting their sockets counterclockwise. Make the repairs and replacements needed and then install the new tail light into the body of the car. Make sure you connect the electrical harness and after you align the assembly in its place, secure it with the screws and that should be it. These are the steps you have to follow if you need to remove and replace the tail light assembly on your Dodge Durango, the model produced between the years 1996 and 2003.
