DIY, change the tail light assembly on Chevy Venture 1997-2005

DIY, change the tail light assembly on your Chevy Venture, the model manufactured between the years 1997 and 2005. This repair is very simple and it will require a T30 torx driver and a new tail light assembly from your local hardware store. If you follow the steps below, this replacement should not take you more than 15 minutes.

     First of all, open the back door of your car an go the the tail light assembly you need to replace. It is held by two T30 torx screws, as you can see in the picture below, that must be removed using an appropriate screwdriver or wrench.

     After you do it, pull out firmly the assembly and detach it from the body of the car. Behind it, you will notice the connector plate in the image below. There are four plastic brackets that hold it. Remove it and detach the tail light completely.

     If you wish to service the bulbs, you can do it very simply by pulling them out of the plate. If not, you can just replace the entire tail light assembly. Install it back into the body of the car and secure it with those screws. These are the simple steps you need to follow, if you wish to remove and replace the tail light on your Chevy Venture, the model produced between the years 1997 and 2005.
