How to change a mirror on a Vauxhall Astra MkIV

How to disassemble a glass mirror on Vauxhall Astra Mk4 made fourth generation between 1998-2004. In some countries this model was made after 2005.

This car has the steering wheel on the right but the procedure to change the mirror is like on his sister Opel with left-hand drive made in country’s like Germany, Italy or Poland.

This procedure works to alls model hatchback, saloon, convertible, wagon, coupe or sedan delivery no matter wath engine has the Astra MkIV, the glass mirros  are the same on all models even if they are equipped with heated option or if they are nonheated.

To disassemble the glass from the mirror you must push it inside like in this picture, so you can enter your finger from the opposite side, through glass and housing to push it to the outside. See below picture, in that image is not an Vauxhall Astra, is another car but the principle is the same.

This procedure is valid in Europe but also on other continents for cars with left and right hand drive you can find them under the name of Vauxhall Astra and for right hand drive Vauxhall Fourth Generation, Saturn Astra, Chevrolet Viva and Holden Astra.
