Do it yourself, remove and replace the power mirror switch on the driver’s side of your Ford Expedition, made between the years 1997 and 2003. You will require a flat headed screwdriver, a replacement part from your hardware store and a couple of minutes. You might consider using a rag to wrap that screwdriver, in order to protect the plastics from scratches. The replacement process is very, very simple.
You can start this repair by opening the front door of your car, on the driver’s side. There you will have to pry out the mirror switch with a flat blade screwdriver, as you can see in the picture below.
Insert the screwdriver underneath the module and lift it up slowly. After you detach it, you will notice its electrical connector, as you can see in the image below. Unplug it and remove the entire module.
At this point, you can simply install the replacement module. Connect back that electrical harness, insert the switch and push it into the door panel and after you check its functionality, you should be ready to go.
