How to change the master window switch on Dodge Durango 2004-2009

DIY, remove and change the master window switch on your Dodge Durango, the model produced between the years 2004 and 2009. The replacement process for this part is very simple and can be done in less than 10 minutes. You will only require a flat blade screwdriver and a soft rag, if you want, to protect the plastics on the door.

The master window switch on your car is located inside the door panel on the driver’s side. Open the door and start by prying out the switch with the tip of a flat blade screwdriver. Insert it from the side next to the door pull, as you can see in the image below, lift it up and detach it from the door panel.

Once you do it, you will get access to the three electrical harnesses seen in the next picture, that power up the buttons. Now, if you replace the entire window switch assembly, with the mirror switch, the window module and the plastic part, you will need to disconnect all the cables. If you only need to replace the window module, unplug the two harnesses that power it and separate it from the bezel, using the same screwdriver.

So, make the desired replacements and repairs, reconnect the cables and insert the switch inside the door panel with the side to the interior of the car, first. This is basically all you have to do, if you wish to remove and replace the master window switch on your Dodge Durango, the model made between 2004 and 2009.
