DIY, change the heater blower motor on Honda Civic 2001-2005

Do it yourself, change the heater blower motor on your Honda Civic, manufactured between the years 2001 and 2005. For this repair, you will need a flat blade screwdriver and a new blower motor. The replacement is very simple and can be done in less than 15 minutes.

     You just have to open the passenger’s front door and get below the glove box. This is where you will locate the heater blower motor that you wish to replace.

     Here, you have to unplug the electrical harness, shown in the picture below.

     At the end, remove the three screws marked with red circles in the image below, that hold the blower motor. You can do it very simply using a flat headed screwdriver, although the screws have also provisions for a T25 torx bit or an 8 mm socket wrench.

     Remove the old blower motor and then you can install the new one. You just have to align the new piece as the old one was and secure it with the three 8 mm bolts. Then make sure you have connected the electrical harness and you are done. This is all you have to do, if you plan to remove and replace by yourself the heater blower motor on Honda Civic, the model made between the years 2001 and 2005.
