How to change the headlight assembly on Toyota Camry 1992-1994

Do it yourself, change the headlight assembly on your Toyota Camry, the model made in the years 1992, 1993 and 1994. For this repair you will need a Phillips screwdriver, a 10 mm socket wrench and a new headlight from your auto parts store. The repair process is quite easy but it might take you more than half an hour.

First of all, you will have to open the hood of your car and remove the two screws holding the front grille, as seen in the next image. You can do it with a Phillips screwdriver. To the interior of the grille you should find a third retainer, a plastic clip, that you must also remove.

After you do it, you will gain better access to the headlight assembly. Now you can remove the screw holding the side marker light assembly, marked with the red arrow in the picture below. After you do it, you can pull out the assembly and unplug its harness (or twist the socket of the bulb counterclockwise).

After you release the side marker, you just have to undo four 10 mm bolts that hold the main headlight assembly (see image below). In the end you should disconnect the two harness behind, that power the bulbs and you can pull out and replace the old headlight.

Finish the repair by installing the new assembly and everything back in place, reversing the process presented above. This is all you need to do, if you wish to change the headlight assembly on your Toyota Camry, manufactured between 1992 and 1994.
