DIY, change the headlight assembly on Chevy Camaro IROC-Z

Do it yourself, change the headlight assembly on your Chevy Camaro IROC-Z, the model manufactured between the years 1985 and 1992. This replacement requires a Phillips screwdriver and about 30 minutes of your time.

In the beginning, open the hood of the car, because you will have to access the headlight from above first. There are four Phillips screws that secure a plastic bezel around the two headlights (as seen in the image below).

The screws at the bottom can be quite tricky, depending on the model of your car, but if you manage to remove them, you will be able to pull out the assembly. Behind it, you will encounter the electrical connector of the light bulb, as you can see in the picture below. Disconnect it and replace the assembly with a new one.

Reinstalling is also easy. You just have to reconnect the electrical harness and the bulb to the new assembly, insert it in its place and secure it with the bezel and the four screws. The other headlight is similar and can be replaced following the same procedure. This is all you need to do, if you wish to remove and replace the headlight assembly on your Chevy Camaro IROC-Z.
