DIY, change the headlight assembly on Buick Regal 1997-2005

Do it yourself, change the headlight assembly on your Buick Regal, the model manufactured between the years 1997 and 2005. This replacement will not require tools and if you follow the steps below, you should be able to do it in less than 15 minutes.

In the beginning, open the hood of your car and locate the two plastic tabs shown in the picture below. These tabs basically hold the headlight assembly attached to the car.

You just have to pull them up by hand. If you find it easier, you can remove them completely, but the headlight should come out easily nevertheless. After you release the assembly, check behind it and disconnect the harness in the middle, shown in the next image.

This is the moment when you can service the light bulbs, if the situation requires it. You just have to remove the rubber dust covers to gain access to the bulbs. If not, you can just skip this step and work to replace the entire headlight assembly. After you plug back the electrical connector, just align the assembly into the body of the car and secure it with those two tabs. This is all you have to do, if you need to remove and replace the headlight assembly on your Buick Regal, made between the years 1997 and 2005.
