Do it yourself, replace the glass of the right side mirror on your VW Tiguan, produced between 2007 and 2016. You will not require tools for this replacement, but you can prepare a flat blade screwdriver and a pair of gloves, just in case. The replacement can be done very easily in no more than a couple of minutes.
First of all, you have to remove the old glass, by inserting your fingers behind it and prying it out. You have to pull the piece out from the extremity, but if the glass is broken, we recommend you to use gloves, to avoid accidents. If the glass is intact, pry it out slowly with your fingers or using a flat blade screwdriver. After you remove it, unplug the two electrical wires used for heating, shown in the picture below.
Now you can work to install the replacement. Reconnect the two wires on the new mirror, align it as in the next picture and push on it until it is secured on the mirror support.
