Do it yourself, change the front parking light assembly on your Toyota Tundra, the model produced between the years 2000 and 2006. This is a simple replacement that you can make in no more than 5 minutes, using a flat blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver.
First of all, you will have to open and secure the hood of the car, because you will have to access the top of the parking light assembly. It is secured by a plastic clip that can be removed using both Phillips and flat blade screwdrivers (see picture below). First, with the Phillips screwdriver, work into the screw and then using the flat blade, pry up the center of the clip and you should be able to pull it out.
The next step after you remove that retainer is to grab the assembly and pull it firmly towards you. Behind it, you will have to disconnect the electrical harness seen in the image below. It has a safety tab that can be pushed with your finger and after you unplug the harness, you can also replace the light bulb, by twisting its socket counterclockwise.
Reinstalling the parking light is simple. You will have to reconnect the electrical harness, align the new assembly correctly onto the body of the car and push it inside until it clips. At the end, secure it with the plastic clip and that’s it. This is all you have to do, if you need to remove and replace the front parking light assembly on your Toyota Tundra, the model made between the years 2000 and 2006.
