Do it yourself, change the front grille on your Toyota Corolla, the model produced between the years 2003 and 2008. To do this replacement, you will require a flat blade screwdriver, a 10 mm socket wrench and about 10 minutes of your time. You might wanna need to make this repair if the grille is broken or if you wish to replace parts of it (the emblem or the chrome trim, etc.).
You can start the replacement process by opening the hood of the car. Go above the grille and remove the two 10 mm bolts that secure it, located at the extremities. You will also have to pry a small plastic clip, located at the middle, top side of the grille, above the emblem, as you can see in the image below.
After you remove these retainers, you can go at the bottom side of the grille, through the engine compartment and push on four plastic clips that secure the grille furthermore (see picture below).
So, you can use a flat blade screwdriver and push down on the tabs in order to release them. Be careful though if you try to remove the grille intact, because the clips can brake quite easily. After you remove the grille and make the desired replacements, you can reinstall it by aligning it correctly on the bottom clips first and securing it with those retainers on top. These are the steps you need to follow in order to remove and replace the front grille on your Toyota Corolla, manufactured between the years 2003 and 2008.
