How to change the fog light assembly on Pontiac Grand Prix 2004-2008

Do it yourself, change the fog light assembly on your Pontiac Grand Prix, manufactured between the years 2004 and 2008. For this particular repair you will require a Phillips screwdriver and new fog lights from your auto parts shop. The repair is simple and it will not take you more than 20 minutes.

The fog light assembly is located in the front bumper of your car and it is held there by two small Phillips screws, as you can see in the picture below. You just have to unscrew them and then gently remove the assembly.

After you detach the fog light from the bumper, behind the assembly you will notice two harnesses that power up the bulbs, as you can see in the next image. One is for the fog light bulb and the other one for the parking light bulb.

You should twist the sockets of the light bulbs counterclockwise and unplug them. Be careful, because the fog light bulb is a halogen and you should not touch its glass surface. The grease on your hand can damage it or shorter its lifetime. At this point you can install the replacement assembly. Place the light bulbs into their sockets and secure the whole assembly into the bumper with the two screws. These are the steps you need to follow if you wish to change the fog lights assembly on your Pontiac Grand Prix, produced between the years 2004 and 2008.
