Do it yourself, change the fog light assembly on your Chevy Impala, the model made between the years 2000 and 2005. You will only need a Phillips screwdriver to make this particular replacement. The repair is simple and can be done in less than 15 minutes.
The fog lights on this car can be accessed very easily from the bumper. You just have to remove the Phillips screw shown in the picture below. You can do it with an appropriate screwdriver and you must also follow this procedure if you plan only to service the light bulbs.
But if you wish to replace the fog light assembly, you will have to pull it out from the bumper and disconnect the electrical harness behind it, as you can see in the image below.
The bulb can be removed and replaced by twisting its socket. At this point you can install a new fog light. Connect the electrical harness to it an insert it in its place into the bumper, then secure it with that small screw.
