Do it yourself, change the air filter on your Kia Forte made between the years 2009 and 2013. This is the kind of a repair that will not require tools, because you can do it fairly easily in no more than 5 minutes, using only your bare hands.
The first step of the replacement consists in locating the air box of the car. After you open the hood of the car, go on the driver’s side, in front of the battery and remove the two clips that hold the air box, as indicated below. This box is the air filter compartment.
After you remove them, you will be able to lift up the plastic cover of the air box and get access to the air filter, as shown in the next picture.
Now you can remove and replace the old air filter with a compatible one. We recommend you to compare the old filter with the new one, just to be sure. Install the new filter and finish the repair, reversing the steps detailed above. Place the cover of the air box back, sealing the filter and secure it with those two clips.
