DIY, change the air filter on Ford Taurus 2000-2007

Do it yourself, change the air filter on your Ford Taurus manufactured between the years 2000 and 2007. You will not require tools for this particular replacement, just a new air filter from the local auto parts dealer and no more than a couple of minutes.

     First of all, open the hood of your car and locate the air box. It is situated behind the battery, on the driver’s side and it should look like the one in the next picture. This box contains the air filter. You just have to remove the two metal clamps that hold it sealed, marked next with red arrows.

     So, after you detach the cover of the box, you will be able to remove the old air filter, as shown in the next image.

     You can replace the old air filter only after you make sure the replacement looks the same. Buy and use only compatible air filters for your car. In order to finish the replacement process, reverse the instructions above. Install the new filter, seal back the air box with the two clamps and that’s it. This is all you need to do if you have to change by yourself the air filter on Ford Taurus, made between the years 2000 and 2007.
