Do it yourself, change the air filter on your Chevrolet Cavalier made between the years 1995 and 2005. You will need a Phillips screwdriver to do this simple task, that will probably take about 10 minutes of your time, if you follow the steps below.
First of all, open the hood of your car and look for the air intake box, shown in the next picture, that is located near the battery of your car. This box contains the air filter. You will have to remove four screws that hold it in place, all marked in the picture below, using a Phillips screwdriver.
After you take out all of them, you will be able to lift up the cover of the air intake box. This will reveal the air filter, as indicated in the next image.
Now you can replace the air filter, but only after you make sure the replacement is the same. Compare the old filter with the new one, just to be sure. To finish the repair, just reverse the instructions presented above. Place the cover back on the filter compartment and fasten its screws. That is all you need to do, in order to change the air filter on Chevrolet Cavalier made between 1995 and 2005.
