Do it yourself, change the air filter on your Cadillac CTS manufactured in the year 2006. You will require a Phillips screwdriver, a new air filter from the local auto parts store and no more than 5 minutes of your time.

At the beginning, open the hood of your car and look for the air box. It should look like the one in the picture below, located behind the headlight, on the driver’s side. This box is the air filter compartment. You will have to remove two Phillips screws that hold it sealed, marked below with the red arrows.

Now you can replace the old air filter, but only after you make sure the replacement looks the same. We recommend you to compare the old filter with the new one, just to be sure. To finish the replacement process, reverse the instructions presented above. Install the new filter, seal back the filter in the air box and tighten the two screws. This is all you need to know if you wish to change the air filter on your Cadillac CTS 2.8L, manufactured in the year 2006.
