DIY, change the air cabin filter on Seat Ibiza 2004-2005

Do it yourself, change the air cabin filter on your Seat Ibiza or Seat Cordoba, made in the years 2004 and 2005. The replacement procedure might be similar on newer or older versions of these cars, in some Audi, Skoda or Volkswagen models. Servicing this filter does not require tools, just a new and compatible filter and about 5 minutes of your time.

First of all, open the passenger’s front door and get beneath the glove box. There you will notice a small plastic box, held by two holders. You have to switch them to the center and you will be able to pull out the filter (see picture below).

After you remove the old filter you can install the replacement. You can use a normal filter or an active carbon one, just make sure it is the right one for your car. Buy and use only compatible filters for your car. In the end, you just have to align the new filter correctly on the small plastic piece and insert it into that compartment, under the glove box, as shown in the next image.

Secure it with the two holders by moving them to the extremities and you are done. This is all you need to do, if you wish to replace the air cabin filter on your Seat Ibiza/Cordoba, produced in the years 2004 and 2005. You can watch the video tutorial below for more details.
