DIY, change the air cabin filter on Honda Civic made between the years 2000 and 2005. You will not require specific tools to do this task. You can service the filter very easily in about 15 minutes, if you follow the next steps.
In the beginning, open the passenger door of your car and then open the glove box. You will have to detach its upper part, in order to get to the air cabin filter. The glove box is held by two plastic safety pins, marked in the next image.
You can remove them by pressing on the small buttons from outside to the inside. After you do that, you will get access to the compartment that houses the air cabin filter. To be able to remove the filter, you must first detach its small plastic cover, shown in the picture below.
At this point you can replace the filter, but only after you check the replacement. It should have the same size and shape as the old one. We recommend you to check the compatibility of the filters before buying them. At the end, put everything back together carefully. Place the cover back on the filter compartment and then reinstall the glove box. That is all you have to do, in order to change the air cabin filter on Honda Civic 2000-2005.
