DIY, change the air filter on Ford Super Duty 2008-2010 6.4L

Do it yourself, change the air filter on your Ford Super Duty, if it is the model equipped with the 6.4L diesel engine and produced between the years 2008 and 2010. You will not require any special tools, just about 5 minutes of your time.

In the beginning, open the hood of your car and locate the air box. This is basically a black plastic box that contains the air filter, located near the windshield, on the passenger’s side. You can get to the filter very easily, by removing two clamps that hold the cover of this air box. One of the clamps is marked in the picture below and the second one is on the other side.

After you detach those clamps, you can basically remove the old air filter (see the next picture).

Next, check the bottom of the air box for dirt, leaves or debris. Clean everything and install the new air filter. We recommend you to verify carefully the compatibility of the new filter before buying and installing it. At the end, reinstall the top cover of the air box and secure it with the two clamps and that’s it. This is all you have to do, if you wish to replace the air filter on your Ford Super Duty 6.4L diesel, produced between the years 2008 and 2010.
