This did work! I got an oil change done at a fast lube place here in Ohio, and they couldn’t get the light to go out. (2011 Ford Fiesta) I went for about three weeks with it on until I found this post about how to ge the light to turn off, and now it’s off! Thanks to folks that posted it-

this method worked on my 2009 fiesta after service. It also turned off the yellow low oil level light which was on even though the oil level was correct.
    Thanks for the info

I took my 2012 Ford Escape in for service, because oil was leaking from the oil filter. I was told that they did a oil change service and made sure that the filter was tight now. But they did tell me that their was a recall on the PCM that needed to be reprogrammed. I said okay. All service was done and I took the vehicle home. I parked it in the garage and started it the next morning for my wife to warm it up. She took it to work which is about 14 miles and work her shift. It started fine and she drove it 5 mile to our daughters house and visited for a few minutes and then to go home. The vehicle wouldn’t start nothing, no lights just dead. I jump started the vehicle and got it home and put it in the garage and went into the house. I went to go some where’s else and the car wouldn’t start. I had Ford come out the next morning to help get the vehicle started. We got it started and I took it to the dealership and they said the battery only had 55 cranking amps to try to started the vehicle. Now remember I just took it in for service 22 hours before and they said everything checked out great, battery, brakes, tires, and fluids. So this morning they tell me also that my transmission fluid is bad and needs to be changed. Something isn’t right with this Ford dealership!!!

That’s why some people choose to sit next to the mechanic while his changing oil and other auto parts.
As for your problem i thhink the battery is dad, check if you left stereo on or headlights on, that you can consume battery or sudden temperature difference from a positive to a negative.
