Do it yourself, replace the headlight assembly on your Mini Cooper made between the years 2006 and 2013. To complete this repair you will need a flat blade screwdriver and a 10 mm socket wrench. The repair process is fairly simple and will not take you more than 15 minutes.
First of all, you can go behind the headlight and unplug the wiring harness shown in the image below. You can do it by hand, or using a flat blade screwdriver.
After you do it, you will have to remove the four 10 mm bolts that hold the headlight assembly, marked with red arrows in the picture below. You can do it using a 10 mm socket wrench or a simple wrench of the same size.
After you deal with all of them you can take out the old headlight housing from the vehicle. If you need to service the light bulbs, you can now do it very easily. After you finish all the repairs, install everything back in place, reversing the process above. Align the assembly properly on the body of the car, tighten the four screws with the wrench and in the end, connect back the wiring harness that power up the bulbs. These are all the steps you have to follow, if you need to replace the headlight assembly on your Mini Cooper made between the years 2006 and 2013.
