Do it yourself, remove the front door panel on your Nissan Altima, the model produced in the years 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. You will require a flat blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver. The removal process is quite simple and you should be able to do it in less than 20 minutes.
You can start after you open the front door of the car, by prying out the triangle shaped cover at the corner of the door. This can be done using your fingers, or using a small flat blade screwdriver. After you do it, you can go to the window switch and repeat the process, using the same screwdriver, as you can see in the image below. After you lift and detach the switch, you will have to unplug the big harness beneath it.
Now, before releasing the door panel, you will have to pry out and remove the bezel around the door handle, using the flat blade screwdriver and in the end, the small cover at the bottom of the door pull, that hides a Phillips screw (see details in the pictures below).
At this point you can grab on the bottom of the door panel and pull out firmly. It will pop off its clips and you will be able to lift it and detach it completely. Now you can make the necessary repairs or replacements and you can reinstall it very simply, reversing the steps above. This is all you need to do, if you wish to remove the front door panel on your Nissan Altima, the car model made between the years 1998 and 2001.
