DIY, remove the front door panel on your Chevy Venture, the model made between the years 1997 and 2005. The tools required are a flat blade screwdriver, a 10 mm socket wrench and maybe a putty knife to pry out the door panel. The removal process might take you more than 15 minutes.
First, open the front door of the car, on the driver’s side and pry out the window switch module. Use a screwdriver and insert it as seen in the picture below. Then pull the module up and disconnect the harnesses behind it.
Using the same screwdriver, you have to pry out a plastic cover behind the small door handle. This will reveal a 10 mm bolt that can be removed easily with a socket and extension. The door panel is held by two bolts though. The other one is on the left, bottom side of the big door handle, as you can see in the next image.
After you remove these retainers, you can basically pull out the door panel. You will have to work around the edges with a putty knife, or simply, with your fingers and pry out the panel little by little. In the end, lift it up and detach it completely. Now you can make any desired repair and replacement and then you can reinstall the panel by reversing the steps shown above. These are the steps you have to follow, if you wish to remove and replace the front door panel on Chevy Venture, the model produced between the years 1997 and 2005.
