Do it yourself, remove the front door panel on your Oldsmobile Intrigue. The tutorial shown below is for Intrigue models produced between the years 1998 and 2002. You will need Phillips and flat blade screwdrivers, a T30 torx driver and a putty knife or a door panel clip tool. The whole process of removing the door panel might take you about half an hour.
You can start the removal process by prying out the master window switch. You can do it by hand, by pulling up from the left side of the switch, to the interior. After you do it, disconnect the three harnesses beneath the switch and remove it completely. The next step is to pry out a small plastic cover behind the door handle. You can do it using a flat blade screwdriver. It will reveal a Phillips screw that you will have to undo, in order to detach the bezel around the door handle (see details in the images below). Once you pull out that bezel, you will have another harness to unplug there.
Now, to be able to pull out the door panel, you will have to remove the two T30 screws that hold it, first. One is located above the arm rest and the other one beneath it, as you can see in the picture below.
Now, this is the moment when you can use the putty knife or some other similar tool to pry out the edges of the door panel. Make sure you pull out the panel until it comes out from all its retaining clips and then detach it. You won’t be able to remove it completely until you unplug the electrical harness behind it, the one powering the speaker. This is all you have to do, in order to remove the front door panel on your Oldsmobile Intrigue, the model made between the years 1998 and 2002. The reinstall process is just about carefully reversing the steps we showed you above.
