DIY how to remove the front door panel on Audi A4 made in B7 made between year 2004 and 2008. In order to make this repair, you need a flat blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver. You should be able to remove the panel in no more than 15 minutes.
The first thing we recommend you to do is to open the hood and remove the negative cable of your battery. That will protect your car of unwanted electrical accidents. You can then go to your problem, the door panel, and begin the repair by prying out the plastic pieces that cover the bolts holding the panel. You can use the flat screwdriver for this process and if you want, a rag or a piece of cloth, to protect the plastic and the fabric on the door. You will have to detach the oval plastic cover located behind the door handle and the bright plastic strip, as shown below.
You will come across six Phillips screws, that you have to remove next. Then pull firmly around the edges of the panel and once the clips are released just pull the door panel up and off. To remove it, you will have to disconnect two harnesses that go to the speaker on the door and the metal cable that connects the door handle, as in the next image. Be careful because the big harness of the speaker has an orange plastic safety that you may have to pry slowly in order to be able to remove it.
In order to reinstall the door panel, you just have to carefully reverse the whole process. These are the steps you need to follow in order to remove the front door panel on Audi A4 2007. You may want to make this repair if you need to replace the door switch, the door handle, repair the window regulator, change the speaker on the door, etc.
