Do it yourself, change the tail light assembly on your Oldsmobile Intrigue, the model made between the years 1998 and 2002. You will not require tools to make this replacement, just a new tail light assembly and about 15 minutes of your time.
First, you have to open the trunk of the car and remove the thumb screw shown in the image below. It holds both the insulation and the tail light assembly.
After you pull the insulation away, you will come across the other two thumb screws that secure the tail light (see picture below). Remove those as well and pull out the assembly.
Now, by detaching the tail light, you will gain access to the light bulbs, as you can see below. This is the time to service them, if needed. If not, twist their sockets counterclockwise and remove them all, in order to replace the tail light.
Install the light bulbs onto the new assembly, insert it into the body of the car and secure it with those three thumb screws. This is all you need to do, if you wish to remove and replace the tail light assembly on your Oldsmobile Intrigue, the model produced between the years 1998 and 2002.
