DIY, change the tail light assembly on your Chrysler Town & Country, the model made between the years 2004 and 2007. The best way to make this replacement is with a clip removal tool, but if you don’t have one, you can use a flat blade screwdriver. The whole process will take you less than 15 minutes.
First of all, open the tailgate of the car and start by prying out the two plastic pins shown in the picture below. You can do it with a screwdriver, if you don’t have a clip removal tool. Work on their middle first and then pull them out.
After you do it, you can pull out the tail light assembly. Now, in order to remove it completely and to be able to replace it with a new one, you will have to disconnect the main electrical harness that you’ll notice behind it (like the one in the image below). It has a red securing tab, that you must move away with the tip of a flat blade screwdriver.
If you just want to service the bulbs, there is no need to disconnect that plug. Just squeeze the sockets of the bulbs on the sides, pull out the bulbs and install new ones. If not, install the new tail light into the body of the car and secure it with the two pins at the exterior. These are the steps you have to follow, if you wish to replace the tail light assembly on your Chrysler Town & Country, produced between the years 2004 and 2007.
