Do it yourself, change the tail light assembly on your Honda Accord, the model manufactured between the years 1994 and 1997. You will only need an 8 mm socket wrench with an extension to make this repair and, because the process is quite simple, about 15 minutes of your time.
The whole action happens into the trunk of your car. So, you will have to open it and go behind the tail light you wish to replace. There you should locate the small plastic lock shown in the image below, that secures a cover. Open it to gain access to the back of the tail light assembly.
At this point you can access the light bulbs and you can remove their sockets by twisting them counterclockwise. In order to remove the entire tail light assembly, you will have to undo the four nuts that secure it, shown in the picture below. You can do it, using an 8 mm socket wrench with an extension. Pay attention, because the top nuts have small plastic wire clips on them. Detach those first.
After you finish all the repairs and replacements, you can install the new tail light. Secure it with the four nuts, connect back the light bulbs sockets and reinstall the plastic cover. These are the steps you need to follow, if you wish to remove and replace the tail light assembly on your Honda Accord, produced between the years 1994 and 1997.
