Do it yourself, change the tail light assembly on your Chevrolet Trailblazer, produced between the years 2002 and 2009. This repair will require a Phillips screwdriver, a new tail light lens and about 10 minutes of your time. The replacement can be done by anyone, very simply, in the back of his garage. You can start by opening the back door of your car and by removing the two Phillips screws shown in the image below. They hold the tail light lens secured on the body of the car.
After you remove the screws, you can simply pull out the lamp. Behind it, you will also need to detach the electrical harness powering the light bulbs, as you can see below.
Now it is the time to service the light bulbs, if needed. To do it, you will have to undo another three Phillips screws that hold the connector plate. After you make all the replacements, you can plug back the electrical harness on the new lens, install it on the body of the car and secure it with the screws. This is all you have to do, if you need to change the tail light assembly on your Chevrolet Trailblazer, the model made between the years 2000 and 2009.
