Do it yourself, change the side marker light assembly on your Volvo XC90. The repair process is for models manufactured between the years 2003 and 2013. You will only need a flat headed screwdriver and a couple of minutes to do the replacement. In the beginning, you will have to go in front of the side marker, to the exterior of the car. There is a small indent to the middle of the lens where you can insert the tip of a flat blade screwdriver, as you can see in the picture below. Do it and pry out the assembly. When you detach it, you will notice the harness of the bulb behind it (see next image). You can unplug it, or you can twist its socket counterclockwise. The bulb can be pulled out, then. After you replace the side marker with a new one and service the light bulb if needed, you have to simply insert the lens into its hole on the side of the door. It is secured there by a clip on its backside. These are the simple steps you need to follow, if you wish to quickly remove and replace the side marker light assembly on your Volvo XC90, the model produced between the years 2003 and 2013.
