Do it yourself, change the side marker light assembly on your Toyota Corolla, the model made between the years 1994 and 1997. This type of replacement is simple and it will require only a Phillips screwdriver and about 15 minutes of your time.
After you pop up the hood and secure it, you will have to remove the Phillips screw shown in the picture below. It secures the side marker light assembly and can be removed easily with the appropriate screwdriver.
After you do it, we recommend you to shake the assembly and pull it out firmly, at the same time, until it comes out. At the bottom, next to the main headlight assembly it has a guiding pin that can be tricky sometimes. After you pull out the assembly, you will gain access behind it, to the light bulb and the electrical harness powering it (see next image). Unplug the harness by twisting the bulb’s socket counterclockwise, service the bulb if needed and proceed to install the replacement side marker light.
Reinstalling is also an easy task. Reconnect the electrical harness, alight the new side marker light into the body of the car and secure it with the screw. This is all you have to do, if you plan to remove and replace the side marker light assembly on your Toyota Corolla, produced between the years 1994 and 1997.
