Do it yourself, change the parking light assembly on your Volvo S70, the model made in the years 1998, 1999 and 2000. The procedure is very simple for this car. You won’t require any tools, just a new assembly from your local auto parts store and about 5 minutes of your time.
Open the hood of the car first, to gain access above the headlight and the parking light assemblies. You will have to push the tab located between them, as you can see in the picture below, to be able to release the parking light. You can do it very simply, by hand.
After you push on that tab and the assembly slides out from the body of the car, you can just unplug the harness behind it (see image below). It powers the light bulb, that can be thus removed by twisting its socket counterclockwise.
Service that light bulb or move it to the new parking light assembly, if needed. If not, just plug the connector of the light bulb to the new lens, align the assembly on its place into the body of the car (helped by its guiding pins) and slide it in, until it is secured. These should be the steps you need to follow, if you plan to remove and replace the front parking light assembly on your Volvo S70, the model produced between the years 1998 and 2000.
