Do it yourself, change the master window switch on your Buick Lesabre, the model made between the years 2000 and 2005. This replacement will require a flat blade screwdriver, a new window switch from your local auto parts store and probably a rag, or a smooth cloth to wrap around the screwdriver, to protect the plastics on the door. The repair is very, very simple and it will take you less than 10 minutes.
First of all, after you open the front door on the driver’s side, you should pry out the window switch, using the tip of a flat blade screwdriver. Wrap it in a rag to be extra careful with the door elements and use it to the side towards the interior of the car, as seen in the picture below.
After you lift up the switch, you will have to disconnect the electrical harness shown in the image below, that powers it. You should be able to do it by hand, but if you find it difficult, you can use the screwdriver.
Now it is the moment to install the replacement. Connect the new window switch to the electrical harness and lock it into the door panel. Insert the left side first (the one to the exterior of the car) and then snap the right side. This is all you need to do, if you plan to change by yourself the master window switch on Buick Lesabre, the model produced between the years 2000 and 2005.
