DIY, change the headlight assembly on your Dodge Intrepid, the model made between the years 1993 and 1997. This particular repair will require a T15 torx screwdriver and possibly a pair of pliers and some penetrating oil. Replacing the headlights is quite simply and you should be able to do it in less than half an hour, for both of them.
First, open the hood of the car, to gain access above the headlight you need to replace. It is held by three T15 torx screws, as you can see in the next image. Use some penetrating oil on them, because they can be tricky and difficult to remove. After you do it, you should be able to pull out the assembly without any effort.
Behind it, you will notice the electrical harness powering the light bulb (see picture below). Unplug it by hand and remove the headlight completely. Now, if you plan to service the bulb, there is a retaining ring that you must twist counterclockwise and you will be able to replace the bulb or move it onto the new assembly.
The new headlight must be connected to the harness, aligned into the body of the car and secured with the three screws. This is all you need to do, if you plan to remove and replace the headlight assembly on your Dodge Intrepid, manufactured between the years 1993 and 1997.
