Do it yourself, change the headlight assembly on your Ford F-150, manufactured between the years 2004 and 2008. You will need a Phillips screwdriver for this repair, a 10 mm socket wrench and about 20 minutes of your time.
The repair is quite easy. You just have to open the hood of your car, go to the headlight you need to replace and start by removing the plastic pin shown in the picture below. You can do it very easily using a Phillips screwdriver.
It holds a rubber cover, gasket, that can be easily pulled away now. Do it and you will gain access to two 10 mm bolts, as you can see below. Remove these two bolts and the one on the upper side of the headlight. Near this last one, there is a plastic tab that secures the assembly furthermore. Release it and pull out the lens.
At this point, you only need to unplug the three harnesses behind. This can be done by turning the bulb sockets counterclockwise. Then you can install the replacement. Plug back the bulbs, push the assembly back in its place and secure it with the three bolts and that plastic safety tab. In the end, place back the rubber cover and its pin and you should be ready to go. This is all you have to do, if you need to change the headlight assembly on your Ford F-150, made between the years 2004 and 2008.
